Entertainer and educator Wayne “Poonka” Willock and his wife Antonette, are safely back in Barbados after a ruined vacation in St Maarten, thanks to Hurricane Irma. Nightmarish as it was, Poonka said there were some lessons to be learnt.

The calypsonian and tuk band specialist said they usually took a break somewhere on their timeshare after Crop Over, but this year it was pushed back because of CARIFESTA. St Maarten was the choice spot for 2017, and was booked well in advance.
