The Barbados Port Inc. has said that the package reported missing by Julia Robinson of the Robinson Smiles and Hope Inc. was not at the port but had been delivered to Freight Handling Services since September.

Manager of operations at the Bridgetown Port, Ian Stewart, told the Saturday Sun, “The items did not and were not cleared from the Port; the actual box came into Barbados in a container that was consigned to Freight Handling Services (FHS). We delivered the container direct from the Port and it went to FHS where the container was unstuffed.”

Stewart countered Robinson’s statements carried in yesterday’s WEEKEND NATION; he said that the container was handed over toFHS on September 26at 8:37 a.m.

“So all of this that you are referring to is not the Port, the delivery was done down there at FHS so all that she is speaking about is with FHS and not the Port. The box, as far as I have been made to understand was recently located at FHS and is available,” Stewart said. (LK)
