Nicholls ready to rumble with BIDC

The Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC) is not going to have an easy time when management appeals the court’s ruling that the Government-run agency wrongfully retired seven workers.

Speaking on the side-lines of a Barbados Cricket Association press conference yesterday, attorney Gregory Nicholls told the SUNDAY SUN the workers’ legal team was ready for the challenge.

“We are confident that the court’s findings on the law will be upheld since they accord with the principles of good public administration found by courts in the Commonwealth in judicial review matters,” Nicholls said.

“So if they are signalling their intention to appeal in a Press release, I now say to the BIDC that they should abide by the words of no less an authority of His Lordship Jesus the Christ: “That thou doest, do quickly”, St John 13:27,” he added. (AD)
