Four major south coast hotels are crediting a new marketing thrust and improved entertainment packages for bumper Christmas business. The Radisson Aquatica, Accra, Hilton Barbados and Savannah recorded an increase in patronage for their Christmas activities compared to last year.
The Hilton’s food and beverage services manager Ramon Watson told the MIDWEEK NATION the resort beefed up its promotion and marketing projects to attract more numbers, and more than 500 patrons turned out for its Christmas Day celebrations. He added there was more to see
and do.
“Christmas was fantastic this year,” he said. “Our Lighthouse restaurant and Needham’s conference room were full. Apart from lunch, we like to create a family atmosphere, so we had more entertainment packages than last year such as a petting zoo, magicians, jumping tents and performances from two bands.
“Without a doubt, stepping up our marketing and entertainment packages proved to be a success. We realised other restaurants and businesses were doing things for the holiday so we had to up our game.” (SB)
