Members of the Drug Squad have arrested and charged two Barbadian men with a number of drug related offences which were allegedly committed on Friday, December 22, at the Bridgetown Port.

They are Jamar Curwin Henderson Forde, 31, of Walkes Spring Tenantry, St Thomas, and Gregory Rudolph Grandison 54, of Proute Hill, St Thomas.

Forde and Grandison were jointly charged with unlawful possession of cannabis, trafficking of cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to supply, importation of cannabis and conspiring to traffic in cannabis.

On December 22, Customs Officers at the Bridgetown Port discovered 20 bluish taped packages containing cannabis concealed in a compressor at the Port. The police were informed and investigations were conducted, which resulted in the arrests of Forde and Grandison on December 28.

They appeared before Magistrate Douglas Fredericks in the District ‘A’ Magistrate Court today. They both pleaded not guilty to the offences, and were granted bail at the sum of $25 000 each. They will reappear in Court on April 11, 2018. (PR)
