Motorcyclist dies in St Joseph accident

Police are conducting investigation into the circumstances surrounding a road fatality which occurred around 11:10 this morning, along Castle Grant Road, St Joseph.

Dead is 25-year-old Shane Knight of Belair #2, Market Hill, St George. He died while receiving medical attention at the Accident and Emergency Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Knight was driving a motorcycle when he became involved in a collision with a van. The van was driven by 28-year-old Andre Brathwaite of Clapham Road, Wildey, St Michael. Both vehicles were extensively damaged.

Police are making an appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this accident or can provide any information, to contact the District ‘F’ Police station at telephone 433-1540. (PR)
