UPDATE: Three-vehicle accident

One woman was seriously injured and nine other people suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle accident on Friday along Maxwell Main Road, Christ Church.

The accident occurred around midday and involved a ZR and two cars.

Officers from the Royal Barbados Police Force, the Barbados Fire Service and at least three ambulances led the mass casualty response.

Some people complained of injuries to their feet, backs and necks. While some were treated at the scene, others had to be transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

As a result of the collision, traffic was diverted. (TG)
