During a tour yesterday morning with Minister in the Ministry of Transport and Works and parliamentary representative for St Lucy, Peter Phillips, technocrats in that ministry and members of the media, Duguid said the roads were left in a deplorable state by the last administration.

“As we drove about the parish of St Lucy, you would have seen the significant state of disrepair that the roads in this parish are in. It almost looks like there are certain roads that were totally abandoned. Grass is growing in the road; the sides have been thinned by overgrown bush on both sides. It’s just appalling how the last administration has left the parish of St Lucy and the state of the roads,” he said.

The team toured several areas, including Crab Hill, Spring Garden, Archer’s Bay and Rock Hall where the roads were in dire need of repair. (DB)
