Shots fired at Police

A man is assisting with investigations into an incident where shots were fired at police officers.

According to a media release, police responded to a report of a burglary around 3:45 a.m. today at Rendezvous, Christ Church.

Acting on a tip off, they attempted to intercept a blue car which was seen on Rendezvous road.

The car sped off in the direction of Forde’s Road where shots were fired from the vehicle at police. The car was abandoned near Forde’s Road and two of the three people in the vehicle escaped.

Both vehicles were damaged but no one was injured.

Meanwhile, around 10:55 p.m. Monday, police responded to reports of gunshots at Bournes Land, St Christopher, Christ Church.

There were no injuries or property damage. (PR/SAT)
