Earthquake shakes some Eastern Caribbean islands

PORT OF SPAIN – An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 rocked the islands of Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts Nevis and Guadeloupe early Thursday.

The Seismic Research Centre at the University of the West Indies (UWI), St Augustine Campus, says the tremor that occurred at 4:12 a.m. was located at latitude 18.81 north, longitude 60.41 west, with a depth of ten kilometres.

There were no reports of damage or injuries. (CMC)
