Baker captures silver

Roan Baker took Barbados’ medal tally to sixteen earlier tonight capturing a silver medal in the Boys 15-17, 200-metre individual medley here at the Barbados Aquatic Center.

Swimming in lane 6, The 15-year-old produced an impressive Caribbean Central American And Amateur Federation (CCAN) qualifying time of 2:13.40.

Baker came into tonight’s final with the fourth fastest time of 2:17.61.

Kennedy-Luke Thompson of The Bahamas won the gold (2:10.17) while Jamaican’s Nicolas Vale took the bronze. (2:13.46)
