Four get Finnish contracts

FOUR BARBADIAN FOOTBALLERS have signed two-year deals with Finland Club Kemi City FC.

National captain Rashad Jules, Barbados Defence Force Sports Programme (BDFSP) central defender Shane Codrington and Paradise midfielders Ackeel Applewhaite and Jomo Harris have all joined the fourth level club after leaving Barbados for a one-week trial on April 13.

The announcement was made yesterday on the club’s official Instagram page by chairman Mark Tivey.

“It is a historical event, it is a great thing that for the first time in the Barbados Football Association history that four players are signed together,” said technical director of the Barbados Football Association (BFA) Ahmed Mohamed. (AG-B)
