West Indies slipped a little further below the drop zone after losing to Bangladesh today at Taunton.

The bowlers were unable to make any inroads and Bangladesh cruised to 322 for three winning by seven wickets with 51 balls remaining, in the latest ICC Cricket World Cup match.

Shakib Al Hasan scored an unbeaten 124 off 99 balls, peppered with 16 boundaries.

Liton Das, also not out, stroked eight fours and four sixes in his 94 off 69 balls. Opener Tamim Iqbal got a good start before falling on 48, while Soumya Sarkar chipped in with 29.

There was one wicket each for Andre Russell and Oshane Thomas.

Earlier, Shai Hope scored 96, Evin Lewis 70 and Shimron Hetmyer 50, but West Indies fell short of the number of runs they needed to score.

West Indies are now seventh in the tables.
