After the murder of one of its own in what some believe was a robbery gone wrong, the Alliance Owners of Public Transport (AOPT) and the Association of Public Transport Operators (APTO) are banding together to keep drivers and conductors safe.

“There is definitely an element of fear within the sector now. Drivers and conductors feel they are being targeted and under watch on a nightly basis,” communications and marketing officer of (AOPT), Mark Haynes, told the Weekend Nation yesterday.
