A taxi driver was shot in the hand tonight in the car park at Oistins, Christ Church.

Reports reaching Nation News indicate the man took a group to the southern town for the popular Friday night lime and was in the vehicle waiting on them to return.

During what was apparently a robbery attempt, he was shot in the hand.

The taxi driver, whose identity is not known at this time, was taken for treatment by ambulance.

Two route taxi drivers have been shot, one fatally, in robbery attempts.

On August 6, ZR driver Kelroy Alexander was shot in the hand at Inch Marlow, Christ Church, when he stopped to let a passenger disembark.

Ralston Agard was fatally shot outside his Sandy Point, St Philip, home one week later. (Nation Online)
