Barbadian colt Visionary will be looking to make headline news in today’s running of the Carib Brewery Limited Trinidad Derby Stakes over 2 000 metres at Santa Rosa Park in Arima.
The grey roan maiden colt, with Barbadian jockey Affrie Ward up, will be running out of post position No. 4 as a rank outsider.
Trinidad is recovering from severe widespread flooding on Sunday, and Visionary has shown a preference for soft conditions and has a laidback running style, suggesting that the ten-furlong trip will be right up his alley.
Visionary, by He Had Enough out of Lindy Star, has best showings of a third and two fourth places. (LY)
