Teenager owns up to pipe gun

WITH EXPLETIVES rolling off his tongue, a teenager told police he had a pipe gun because a man “want to come round me”.

Yesterday, Jahzeel Akeem Ward had psychological and pre-sentencing reports ordered on him by the No. 2 Supreme Court yesterday.

The 19-year-old, of Apes Hill, Orange Hill, St James, admitted he had a pipe gun last January 26.

Prosecutor Crown Counsel Randolph Burnett, who accepted the plea, said lawmen were on Endeavour Main Road, St James, around 11:40 p.m. when they saw Ward standing among a group of men.

He looked in their direction and began to hurriedly walk away. (HLE)
