Barbados’ Under-21 volleyball captain Akeel Oxley continued to set the Cazova Junior Volleyball Championships on fire as he led his team to a 25-23, 25-21, 25-22 win over Guadeloupe when the action continued on Monday night in Martinique.
Oxley, whose golden hand had fashioned such an element for local team Deacons in the knockout and league scored 21 points inclusive of 14 kills, two blocks and five vicious aces.Â
His dominance as Barbados’ top scorer towered over Guadeloupe’s top player Damien Leveille who totalled six points.
Oxley also leads the Best Spikers table with 31 kills and he is the Best Scorer with 43 points. (KB)
