Kirt Akeem “Patch” Bowen, who was shot at a liming spot in Redmans Village, St Thomas, on Sunday night, may have been in the wrong place at the wrong time.
According to his grieving brother Kemar Bourne, the 26-year-old father of a three-month-old daughter had been painting the family house in the same district all day and only paused in the evening to go get his hair plaited. 
He added that afterwards, Bowen went to talk to a friend, who was liming with a group under a shed near his home.
But as he was leaving, Bourne told the DAILY NATION, some gunmen approached the area and fired multiple shots, one of which hit Bowen in the head. (SB)
