Farmers and potential farmers learnt more about the correct way to plant sweet potatoes.

The information was shared on Wednesday during a workshop on Nursery Production and Selection of Sweet Potato Planting Material at the Ministry of Agriculture, Graeme Hall, Christ Church.

Those who attended, including students from the Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology, learnt different ways of planting sweet potatoes, how to cure the soil and how to remove diseases from the plants.

Participants earlier this week were hosted via Zoom and topics covered theoretical aspects of the workshop while this morning there was a more “hands on” approach. ((RA)
