On Tuesday morning, Kleisha Thomas was unable to reach her father on the phone.

A few hours later, she received a call from someone who told her that Conrad Thomas, 56, had a seizure and died.

Conrad, a Guyanese, also known as “Papa” or “P”, was on his way to work after boarding minibus B189 in St Silas, St James, around 7 a.m.; but by the time the vehicle reached Tudor Street in The City, he had died.

Kleisha, who is in Guyana, told the Weekend Nation yesterday her father was well loved and would be missed.

“He usually called me on weekends and the last thing we spoke about was politics in Guyana and the coronavirus. He was telling me about how things were in Barbados and he was trying to come home.” (TG)
