CRIMINAL JUSTICE practitioners have been told to ensure that their conduct does not compromise the ethical standards of their profession.
The warning is coming from former Deputy Commissioner of Police Bertie Hinds, who is now the deputy executive director of the Regional Security System.
He was speaking at the joint closing ceremony for the Courts Prosecutors’ course and the Enhanced Constables’ Development course at the Regional Police Training Centre in Christ Church last Friday evening.
Hinds told participants that throughout the Caribbean there were several instances where prosecutors had compromised their integrity, that of their organisations and had let down the criminal justice system. But he advised them to rise above any such conduct. (SDB Media)
