A PLACE FAMILIAR with controversy is in such a financial bind that its creditors have given them until tomorrow to come up with a few million dollars, or else they will cut them off.
Those familiar with the situation told Cou Cou that the creditors have taken this drastic action because they are tired of being promised money and not getting a cent.
What has ticked off the creditors is that they were promised by those who control the purse strings a large chunk of cash to clear off some of their debts, but this did not fully materialise.
And this non-payment occurred despite the creditors instituting a cash only basis in their dealings with this place.
So they now feel compelled to up the ante on this place and those who control its purse strings to make them recognise just how serious they are about getting their outstanding money.
Cou Cou understands that one of the frustrated creditors has told the bosses at this public place that in view of their indifference to debt repayment, if they want any of his goods now they have to match their purchase with a similar sum for debt payment.
That is, for every dollar of new products bought in cash, this place must pay off the same value for monies owed.
Those in the know call it the 50/50 plan, and say they suspect other creditors will suggest a similar approach to recover their outstanding debts.
For sure, whatever formula is arrived at by the creditors, this important place, and those who use it, will feel the pinch of inadequate goods for some time to come.
Change of heart
SEVERAL PROFESSIONALS working in a significant organisation are now realising first-hand what the saying: “You never miss the water until the well runs dry” truly means.
Many of these professionals welcomed the exit of their old boss, saying he was the worst person ever to hold that position.
They criticised the way in which he did things and insisted that under his leadership their organisation became a very divided place.
These days however, quite a few of these professionals are singing a different tune.
Instead, they are now calling for the return of their old boss, and are saying that under him there was more stability within their organisation.
What has caused their change of heart is how the new boss and his minions are operating.
From what some of them have told Cou Cou, the new boss and his key people have revisited and imposed a number of rules and regulations that made their life very uneasy.
So these professionals are quietly hoping the old boss will be allowed to return, as under the new one things have gotten dread.
Working hard for love
A CERTAIN WOMAN seems to have a real dilemma, if what Cou Cou has been told is true.
From what we heard, this woman has been striving to be the only alternative companion for a popular individual, who is already spoken for.
However, as hard as she tries, it seems she is just not able to convince the individual she is courting that her sweetness is better.
Though the individual is clearly infatuated with this woman, they appear to be bewitched by their present partner and seem reluctant to shift their loyalty.
This is despite the individual’s abuse, and poor management of their finances which has left them in dire straits.
As far as Cou Cou is concerned, we think this woman needs to just go about her business seriously and purposefully. Maybe then the individual would see her virtue and embrace her.
