Bajan Gems narrowly defeated by Northern Ireland

The Bajan Gems suffered a fourth straight defeat at the 2019 Vitality Netball World Cup in Liverpool, England when the action continued today.

Sandra Bruce Small’s team narrowly went down 46-43 to Northern Ireland.

Goal shooter Shonica Wharton produced 24 goals from 26 attempts, and she was assisted by goal attack Latonia Blackman (19/20).

For Northern Ireland, goal attacks Emma Magee and Ciara Crosbie netted 22 goals from 29 attempts, and two from four respectively.

Goal shooter Noleen Armstrong scored 19 from 21 while Shaunagh Craig had three from four. (AGB)
