After three successive years of being runners-up, Vauxhall Primary School finally took the Pine Hill Dairy National Sports Council’s Primary Schools’ netball title with a thrilling 7-5 victory over All Saints at the Wildey Gymnasium yesterday.

Sadly, All Saints have now also completed three unsuccessful trips to the finals.

On the day, Vauxhall, who had been impressive all season long, had some nervous moments, but eventually the school’s players and officials were able to celebrate the ultimate triumph, running and screaming all over the Gym.

A large Vauxhall contingent, comprising students, teachers and supporters, had displayed tremendous confidence and support as they danced, cheered and sang from start to finish. (KB)
