Reigning Caribbean figure queen Ramona Morgan will make her pro debut on Saturday night before hometown fans at the Darcy Beckles Diamond Cup Barbados, slated for the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Conference Centre.

Morgan, 41, fresh from securing a pro card after her triumph at last year’s Central American & Caribbean (CAC) Championships in Mexico, is the only Barbadian on stage at the pro championships, which will also feature competition in men’s bodybuilding, men’s physique, bikini fitness, and wellness.

“I have started my prep late, so I have not made the improvements I wanted to make, but I am going to give of my best since the show is at home and I am representing Barbados.

“I am going out there with a positive attitude . . . . At the end of the day, it is up to the judges to decide who is the winner, but at least I would have stepped on the pro stage and made some sort of contribution,” she said. (MK)
