Shanice Stevenson marked her return to the starting 11 with a fantastic performance, which included an outstanding goal, as Barbados’ senior women defeated Dominica 3-1 Saturday night at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex.
Barbados dominated to earn a comfortable win in front of a sizeable crowd which braved showers.
Debut goals from Mavericks pair Tiffany White and Felicia Jarvis, coupled with a good defensive showcase by new centre back pairing Kerry Bascombe and Annashime Springer aided Barbados’ flight to victory.
Barbados really should have been 3-0 up in the first 20 minutes, but they were thwarted by inept finishing, poor decision-making and brave goalkeeping by Dominica’s Kadisha Joseph.
