Prison Fellowship needs a home

Prison Fellowship Barbados, which collects hundreds of presents for the families of inmates, is still hunting its own gift – a new home.

Executive Director Thomas Watts says the Country Road, St Michael property is not only in a state of disrepair, but it’s too small for the work the non-profit agency wants to do to help former inmates.

He complained that the loaned building, which formerly housed the Probation Office, was “falling to pieces” and the only good part was his office.

“We need a place where we can set up a workshop to repair and build furniture,” he told the WEEKEND NATION. (TY)
