THE ST PHILIP CARNIVAL Parade takes place on Monday, and to facilitate this event a number of temporary traffic arrangements shall be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Route and Road Closure

The Parade route will be Culpepper, Sealy Hall, Content Cot, Coles Terrace, Merritts, Peat Bay, Bottom Bay, Lynches, Well House, Harmony Hall, Long Bay Corner, Casuarina Street, Hilda Skeene and to the King George V Memorial Park via Jezreel.

On Monday, the parade route will be closed to traffic, while residents will be allowed access to and from their homes when the opportunity allows. As the parade advances, the route will be re-opened and motorists are asked to proceed with extreme caution.

Traffic change

Ruby Road to Ruby Junction will be one-way in a northerly direction.

No person shall park or allow a vehicle to remain stationary on the route, on Lucas Street, or on the immediate surrounding roads, except for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers.

The public is required to comply with the lawful directions of police officers on duty who will be deployed at strategic points. (PR/SAT)
