Graydon Sealy vs Springer again

Defending champions Graydon Sealy and former champs Springer Memorial will clash in tomorrow’s final of the Barbados Secondary Schools’ Netball League’s Under-19 Championships at the Netball Stadium.

In Tuesday’s semi-finals, Graydon Sealy defeated Combermere School 25-18 and Springer beat Parkinson Memorial 45-20.

The third place game featuring Parkinson and Combermere will be played at 3:15 p.m. and the final will follow one hour later.

National shooter Shonica Wharton continues to enjoy very good offensive numbers, scoring 19 from 25 and Alyssa Gibson chipped in six. Wharton’s sometimes national shooting partner Sheniqua Thomas led Combermere with ten goals from 14 attempts.

Shakeillia Smith of Springer led her team’s high scoring effort with 28 goals from 34 attempts and goal attack Khadija Domingo gave strong support with 17 from 24. Nakita Davis’ 18 from 21 was good, but not good enough to power Parkinson into the finals.

The awards ceremony will follow the conclusion of the matches.
