Man charged with RBC robbery

A 25-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with aggravated burglary in relation to Friday’s robbery of the University Drive, Black Rock, St Michael branch of Royal Bank of Canada Barbados Limited.

Shaquon John Jose Cave of Flagstaff Road, St. Michael will appear in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court today.

According to police, around 10:25 a.m. Cave entered the bank, jumped the counter and demanded money.

He escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash but was pursued by civilians who cornered him in the area of the Lazaretto. He was subsequently arrested by police. (PR/NB)
