A 33-year-old Guyanese has been placed on strict bail conditions after appearing on an indecent assault charge.

Sachitaananda Samdass, a carpenter, of Grazettes Road, St Michael, was not required to plead Wednesday to indecently assaulting a woman on January 12.

Prosecutor Station Sergeant Cameron Gibbons did not object to bail for the man who was represented by Tariq Khan and Shayne Williams in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court.

Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant released him on $5 000 bail and ordered him to surrender both his passports, stay away from the complainant, report to the Black Rock Police Station every Thursday, and to seek permission if he intended to travel. He returns on October 23.
