Hallam King, former head of Coleridge and Parry School from 1983 to 1996, shares his view on the Alexandra School Commission of Inquiry and the impact of such disputes on education in Barbados.
He speaks to Associate Editor Ricky Jordan in tomorrow’s Big Interview.
King was recruited from Canada as a principal in February 1983. He resigned 13 years later after an intense battle with those he described as ineffective teachers and the Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union.
He also gives some insight into that controversy.
