FLYING FISH & COU COU: Docs stick together

A tearful woman is slamming the medical profession here, claiming that doctors don’t go against their colleagues.
The woman said she had a medical procedure done and it was botched. She reported that though in pain, she got no satisfaction from the doctor who did it, so she was forced to turn to another.
After an extensive examination, the new doctor explained to the woman that her pain and suffering were due to the bad work done by her original doctor. And he started to work on improving her health.
But he baulked after she hired an attorney and started exploring her options for suing the first doctor. To put it simply, he told her he would not testify against a colleague.
Disappointed, the depressed woman moved on to another doctor, only to run into the same roadblock. She wrote letters and went to another doctor, too, but to no avail. None would write anything to condemn the first doctor.
Today the poor woman is not only physically bruised, but is mentally hurt from the intransigence of these doctors.
Manager dislikes nature
Workers at a certain institution are wondering why their manager has such dislike for nature that all of the fruit trees on that compound were cut down.
A worker at the entity related that the trees were planted for their fruit and aesthetic beauty some time ago. Fruits like the five-finger (carambola) were routinely blended by staff for a drink and shared.
However, for reasons best known to the manager, the appropriate department was called and the old trees fell to the saw. Staff at the institution are now wondering what will be done next to reshape the place in the manager’s image.
Workers short-changed
A number of Government employees went home with less money in their pockets this monthend after what has been described as an administrative glitch.
The officers, all acting in a wide range of senior positions, reportedly received sums ranging from a few hundred dollars to nearly $1 000 less in their monthly salaries. Some officers have been acting for as long as seven years.
Cou Cou understands that every six months a letter listing the names of people in acting positions is sent to the particular ministry authorizing payment.
This procedure has been consistent through the years, but for unknown reasons something went wrong this month.
The challenge now is whether the officers will get their money.
Flagged for big pockets
Is it true that a certain well known man was prevented from taking a trip recently because of the large amount of cash he was carrying?
Is it also true that this individual, whose name has been linked to a person known to the police, felt aggrieved at being turned back and tried to pull rank?
Is it true, too, that this matter is being looked into at the highest level?
