Barbados ‘better off than others’

THOUGH THINGS ARE BAD, Barbados is doing a lot better than several countries.
Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler made this point in a recent address during the opening ceremony of the Deacons Development Facility and Barbados Vocational Training Board’s (BVTB) Deacons Training Centre in Deacons Farm, St Michael.
“. . . We may have our challenges and we may have our struggles, but we are not doing badly ourselves in this environment,” he said.
“As Minister of Finance, I have a lot of strain on my shoulders [and] a lot of demands. We know that in this tough economic time all over the world people are struggling, that life is not easy, life can be very critical.
