Surinam slips into more fear

GOVERNMENT IS BEING taken to task for not resiting people living in Surinam, St Joseph, amidst fears of another land slippage there.
Residents of that area of the Scotland District as well as Member of Parliament for St Joseph Dale Marshall, said Government should be doing more to help worried households.
Marshall said Government’s “inactivity” in the face of damage to one house and the threat to others was “nothing short of scandalous”. (CA)
Last year, this house slipped from its original position (where the brickwork and galvanised sheets now stand) and ended up in the gully.
