RESIDENTS OF West Terrace, St James, have been urged to be more vigilant as construction of a new development is about to begin.
Donville Inniss, parliamentary representative for the area, made the plea at a meeting to sensitize residents about an extension to West Terrace Gardens that will see the creation of 72 house spots and a recreational area at the end of the 16th Avenue.
In view of several instances of crime in the area over the last year or so, Inniss said that there would be a number of people working in the area and residents should look out for the safety of their own property and be their brother’s keeper.
The land has already been cleared and the necessary surveying and road construction will be done in time for work by ADC Building & Maintenance to commence by the end of November. The project is expected to be completed in 16 months. (YB)
