Bajans after cruise ship jobs

Unemployed Barbadians are turning to cruise lines in the hope of securing jobs.
And while Judeen Scantlebury, chief executive officer of Trinity Recruitment Services, says many have been successful, she warns that job seekers must be prepared to work hard and show commitment.
The company has managed to place about 160 Barbadians in jobs with different cruise lines since it started five years ago and recently signed its first agreement with Cunard.
Cunard’s recruiting manager Carl Stephens yesterday conducted interviews via video-conferencing at Trinity’s Broad Street offices with four successful applicants, who also viewed a detailed presentation by Stephens on Cunard’s operations and the company’s expectations from its employees.
