Some gas station operators need to change the way they do business.
This is the view of Commissioner of Police Darwin Dottin.
Speaking on the heels of three gas station hold-ups over the past week, Dottin said there was too much cash being left in the possession of attendants on the forecourts of these service stations and as a result these places became targets for criminals.
“We have had some discussions and (talks are) still ongoing with operators about the need to reduce the amount of cash that is being held by attendants on the forecourt of gas stations. It is something that we need to continue (discussing) since we still think that it is not satisfactory.”
