Hurley strikes

CLOSE TO 1 000 young footballers from 75 teams took to the field last Saturday for the start of the annual Barbados Football Association Youth Tournament in five different age groups ranging from Under-9 to Under-17.
One of the highlights of the first round of matches was an amazing eight goals scored by Derion Hurley as he led Kick Start “A” to a 10-0 whitewash of Paradise at Blenheim in an Under-11 Zone A match. Jadon Cave netted the other two goals.
Brittons Hill B were also big winners, thrashing Ivy Rovers 7-3 behind double strikes by Kashawn Ifill and Damien Waterman. Christopher Trotman, Shamko Burke and Denerson were also on target for the winners while Roshan Gittens, with a brace and Damar Maloney, were the goal scorers for the losers.
