Three mothers received extra special gifts today when they each gave birth to bouncing baby boys.

The first was Crystal Fagan at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), who said that despite being tired, she was glad to have a healthy son; Kal-el Selman. He was born at 12:55 a.m.

Hours later, mother of five Erma Wharton had her most difficult labour experience and said she was glad it was over. She has not yet picked a name for her six-pound son.

The third mother gave birth around 10:18 a.m. but she was still in the delivery room. At the time of our visit three more mothers were in labour.

So far, there have been no deliveries at the Bayview Hospital. (TG)
