Child Month came to a happy ending yesterday – with some pomp and ceremony at the National Union of Public Workers headquarters in Dalkeith, St Michael.
Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Senator Irene Sandiford-Garner, delivering the feature address at the Winston Scott Polyclinic presentation, advised that it was vitally important “that our action demonstrate” the “responsibility of child rearing seriously”.
The ceremony marked the conclusion of one month of programmes, featuring a poster competition for the 17 schools in the catchment of the health facility.
