Police are on the scene of a death in Downes Land, St Lawrence Main Road. The body is still lying in the road.
Police public relations officer, acting station sergeant Michael Blackman, said police responded to reports of gunshots around 6:10 p.m and upon investigating, came across the body of a man.
He said they have yet to identify the man but anyone with any information is asked to contact Worthing Police Station at 430-7614/5; Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 or emergency 211. (CA)
