The Nation’s Online Editor Carol Martindale looks at What’s Trending in Barbados today.
The story trending today relates to the plan by the Commissioner of Police Darwin Dottin to start a series of meetings with officials in and outside the police force before the dismissal of two rape cases against a man whose British “victims” had insisted on his innocence.
This is what readers are saying.
Roger Manning: “In most countries in the world, Dottin would have to prove what he is saying, or resign. As long as public servants continually get praises for bad work and behaviour, Barbados will not progress.”
Jason T Chandler: “I’m sorry but if this is how our leaders in this country are going to be. I feel for the next generation to come.”
