Barbados football captain Rashad Jules has been ruled out of Sunday’s Concacaf Nations League qualifying match against United States Virgin Islands (USVI) with a groin injury.

While technical director Ahmed Mohammad declined to comment on the situation before tomorrow’s training session, Jules confirmed the development on Tuesday.

“More than likely I will miss the game on Sunday because of the injury. Knowing how important the game against USVI is for us to get a positive result, it isn’t a good feeling knowing that I cannot contribute my share,” the 26-year-old attacking midfielder said.

“I am still unsure how bad it is. I am awaiting a doctor to fly in on Monday to do an ultrasound to see exactly what is the problem. Right now, I am going to therapy five days a week, once a day. I will just be receiving treatment until I know the full blow of the injury,” he added. (AGB)
