QC too good by one

Queen’s College scored a heart-stopping one-point victory over home team Garrison Secondary yesterday to remain the only unbeaten team in the Cooperators General Insurance/NSC Under-16 Basketball Tournament.
Down 59-60 and with 18 seconds left on the clock, Queen’s College stole the ball from an in-bound pass and Keiron Savoury scored his 15th point, snatching a thrilling 61-60 win.
A game-high 23 points, including four three-pointers from Shaquan Newton, saw Garrison leading by seven points. However, an injury to Garrison’s danger man Andrew Ifill and a double-double from Queen’s College’s Torian Deane (ten blocks and ten points) kept QC in contention.
Malcolm Hendricks scored a team high 20 points for Queen’s College.
Here, Garrison’s Newton shoots under pressure by Nkyel Wilson.
