It might not be Serie A but the coaches gave a Grade A to the AC Milan Youth Camp which entered its second day at the historic Kensington Oval yesterday.
The lush green of the well marked out pitches at the Oval proved to be the perfect setting for the 102 youth players who, bedecked in full AC Milan gear and complemented with clean boots and socks, were a sight to behold by onlookers and visiting coaches.
While the 12 local coaches conducted sessions around the field, the local and three visiting players from Trinidad and Tobago displayed great skill and enthusiasm which impressed the visiting personnel who are hoping to leave with the top performer for Italy.
Montoya Wilmar indicated that he was very impressed with what he had seen so far. “The players are very skilled and they have shown a desire to learn.  I believe that once they continue training and using what they are being taught correctly, they will go very far,” said Wilmar.
Fabrizio Bobbiesi was in agreement with his Milan associate indicating that the talent in the various age groups was comparable to that in Italy. The camp continues up to Friday when the campers will be issued with AC Milan certificates.
