BASSETERRE – Barbados won their second WICB Regional Under-19 50-Over match Sunday with a six-wicket win over ICC Americas at Progress Park.
Shakeel Ahmmad, who top scored with 30, and Steven Taylor, 22, were the main contributors as ICC Americas were bowled out in 36.4 overs for 104. Jameel Stuart took four for 25, Neil Persaud two for 19 and Akeem Jordan two for 27.
Barbados lost four wickets in their chase of 105 runs to win.
Lee Germon-Gaskin hit an unbeaten 49 to lead his team to victory and Johnathan Drakes added 28. Farhan Malik took two for 15.
Barbados are fifth in the tables with the final match against the Windward Islands today at Molineaux.
Jamaica are on their way to the double, on top of the tables with 31 points. (CMC)
