Several of the other players involved in the Alexandra School saga – besides reassigned principal Jeff Broomes – have taken ill.
Eight of the teachers who agitated for Broomes’ separation from the St Peter institution are also on leave.
Word of this came from president of the Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union (BSTU) Mary Redman, who spoke to the Press yesterday after the second meeting in as many days at the union’s Belleville, St Michael headquarters.
There are four others, including former deputy principal Beverley Neblett-Lashley who has been reassigned to Combermere, with health challenges but up to yesterday evening they had not submitted sick certificates.
