Prescod appointed president of the BCCI

The Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) wishes to announce that effective today, 21 September 2018, Mr. Ezra Prescod was appointed the new President of the BCCI.

Mr. Prescod replaces Mr. Edward Clarke who has officially resigned from the post of President to assume the Chairmanship of the Barbados Private Sector Association (BPSA).

Mr. Prescod is the General Manager at Sol (Barbados) Ltd and has been a member of the Council of the BCCI since 2012.

The BCCI also wishes to congratulate Mrs. Trisha Tannis, Managing Director of Unicomer (Barbados) Ltd. who was appointed to the post of Senior Vice President of the Chamber, previously held by Mr. Prescod.

President Prescod on assuming office thanked Mr. Clarke for his contribution to the Barbados Chamber and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the Chamber remains the trusted voice of the business community. He also expressed his commitment to working with the social partners with a view to transforming the way in which business is facilitated in Barbados.

The Council of the BCCI wishes to congratulate Mr. Ezra Prescod, Mrs. Trisha Tannis and Mr. Edward Clarke on their appointments and pledges to continue to support initiatives that will drive this country forward in these very challenging economic circumstances. (PR)
